The time for Operation Christmas Child shoebox collection is here!  Begin now collecting small toys, gifts, school supplies, gum and candy, and hygiene items for children around the world who have endured poverty, disease and disaster.  We will dedicate our shoebox gifts Sunday, November 15th, in the 8:30 & 11:00 a.m. services.  Please have your boxes to the church on that date.

WBC will be hosting Trunk-or-Treat on October 31st from 6:00-8:00 p.m.  Children are invited to come and receive candy treats from the decorated trunks of our vehicles.  It's a fun and safe way for kids to trick-or-treat.  If you're interested in decorating your trunk and/or giving out candy, please fill out this form.  We are also collecting candy from those who want to participate but cannot provide their vehicle.  This is a great way to reach out to our neighborhood children!

Ladies, call your friends and join us for a movie night & pot-luck on Saturday, October 10th, at 5:00 p.m. We will be watching “One Night with the King”, which tells the timeless, inspiring biblical story of Esther, a young girl whose bravery amidst treachery, scandal, and genocide was used in a mighty way by God. Bring a dish/appetizer to share and join us in the Fellowship Hall for a great time together!

We will be presenting the movie "Amazing Grace" Sunday evening, September 27th, at 6:00 p.m.  This is an inspiring movie about William Wilberforce, who with his faith in God, made a commitment to see the end of slavery.  This movie can inspire others to stand and believe that they too can make a difference.  It lasts almost two hours, and is rated PG (preschool and nursery childcare provided).

You're all invited to Winnwood's Block Party/Ministry Fair Saturday, August 22nd, from 12:00-3:00 p.m.  There's going to be live music, food, booths displaying the different ministries at WBC, fun things for the kids and much more!  New this year - a Clothes Closet - for anyone in need of clothing.  You won't want to miss this!

Mark your calendar for our Summer Fellowship and Pool Party, Saturday, July 18th, at New Hope Retreat Center (FREE)!  There will be open swimming (optional) from 3:00-5:00 p.m., and a fellowship meal from 5:00-7:00 p.m., with activities and fellowship throughout.  Hot dogs will be provided and we are asking families to bring summer salads to share.  This will be a great way to beat the heat and enjoy great fellowship!

America!  America!  God shed His grace on thee!  Join us July 5th at 11:00a.m. as we celebrate our patriotism together in our God and Country Service.  We thank God for the country in which we live!  This will be a combined worship service - we will not be having our 8:30a.m. service.

Ladies, we will be starting a new Beth Moore study July 12th.  We will meet Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m. and will be studying the Book of Esther.  Join us as we draw closer to God through this beautiful book of the Bible!

This is a wonderful way to study the Bible, and also to get to know other ladies in the church.  Please contact the church office if you are interested in attending.

Fathers, you are always wanted and needed at Winnwood!  We especially hope you will join us Sunday, June 21st, at 8:30a.m. or 11:00a.m., as we honor you on your day.  Pastor Tony will be bringing a message just for you.  It's sure to be a special time for you and your family.  You'll be glad you came!

The week of June 14-18, from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. each evening we are inviting kids ages 4 through Grade 5 to join our "Studio Go Gameshow - Win with Jesus!" Vacation Bible School.  This will be a great time of fun, Bible lessons, games, snacks, crafts, and more!  At Winnwood our children are so very important, and this is always a special week for them.  Be sure and invite friends to come too!

Join us for a combined Worship Service Sunday, May 24th, for a Memorial Day Celebration.  We will have Sunday School/Bible Study at the regular time of 9:45 a.m., and then our combined Worship Service at 11:00 a.m.  Please note, we will not be having our 8:30 a.m. Worship Service.

Tight harmonies, upbeat concerts, soul touching songs and the love of Jesus Christ, that's what The Missourians are best known for.  The group, based out of Joplin, is comprised of five talented musicians and singers who have a true desire of spreading the good news to people of all ages.  They have shared the stage with such greats as Gold City, Brian Free, Ivan Parker, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers and many others.  Join us for a great concert May 17, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in our auditorium.  Admission is free with a love offering to be taken.

Our Winnwood mothers are very important to us, and we are excited about this year's Mother's Day Service on May 10th.  Pastor Tony will be bringing a special message in honor of each mother.  You'll love it!  Join us for two great services at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. to honor MOM! 

We will have a Baby Dedication Service on Mother's Day in our morning worship services.  Please contact the church office (453-4500) if you would like to participate in this very special service.

Join us Sunday evening, April 5th, at 6:00 p.m. for a special Children's Easter Program.  The Wee Sing Pre-school and Kindergarten Choir will open the show and then the grade school choir, Jammin' with Jesus, will perform the original Easter program, "A Hunt for the True Meaning of Easter". 

Time Change Sunday is March 8th.
